How Do I Enable Two-Factor Authentication?

Protect your account with two-factor authentication (MFA):

What Is MFA?

Multi-factor authentication requires a second form of verification when logging in, typically a code from your phone.

Setting Up MFA

Go to Settings > MFA Settings

Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"

Choose your preferred method

Authentication Methods

  • <strong>Authenticator App</strong> (Recommended): Use apps like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator
  • <strong>SMS</strong>: Receive codes via text message (less secure)

Download an authenticator app

Scan the QR code shown in FerryPros

Enter the verification code to confirm

Save your backup codes securely

Backup Codes

When you enable MFA, you'll receive backup codes:

  • Save these in a secure location
  • Use if you lose access to your authenticator
  • Each code works once
  • Request new codes if needed

Logging In with MFA

After entering your password:

Open your authenticator app

Enter the current 6-digit code

Codes refresh every 30 seconds

Disabling MFA

To disable (not recommended):

Go to Settings > MFA Settings

Enter your password

Enter a verification code

Confirm disable

Keep MFA enabled for maximum security.
